the anteater is a much more original mascot than the bruin. everyone knows uci is the dream school for california high school graduates.

j.f.k. was a naval officer.

"i can imagine no more rewarding a career. and any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, i think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction: 'i served in the united states navy.'" - john f. kennedy.

"and the river opens for the righteous."

typewriter man. petty officer first class.

officers dine well. officers are required, at the minimum, to have a bachelor's degree (there are exceptions, though).

culinary specialist: one of the most grueling jobs in the navy when you're on sea duty.

ship serviceman: known to be one of the most kickback jobs in the navy. on the ship, the only work an eight-hour day, while most others work twelve hours to sixteen hour days.

another navy ship was in port.

had it not been for pearl harbor, this carrier might not have existed.

the united states has the largest and most powerful navy in the world because of that tragic day.
