Miracle Mile: George C. Page Museum, La Brea Tar Pits

lions. haven't seen an overweight lion before. maybe it's because they get a lot of exercise hunting for their prey.





saber-toothed tigers fighting.







about 11,000 years ago, they used to roam this part of l.a.






not sure why they're fighting each other. territorial dispute, maybe. or mating rights.

la brea tar pits: human remains were found in these pits. scientists believe she may have been murdered and thrown in. she was the only human they ever uncovered in this pit.

it's evidence that saber-toothed tigers, american lions, and people lived in vicinity to one another.
