weight loss: four lbs. shed in about a week





July 1, 2011: 164 lbs.









July 9, 2011: 160 lbs.






In a society in which its citizens are bombarded by billboards, television commercials, and Web Ads encouraging people to indulge their appetites without restraint, I decided to take the offensive—consuming lots of fish, beans, red plums, white Peaches, chocolate soy milk, chocolate almond milk, and staying off red meat (for the most part).

The human body is a vessel. I must take care of it and be vigilant about what I put into it. 

Last Sunday (July 10, 2011), I ran with the Nike Run Club in Santa Monica. Five miles.
